Energy grids
Demand for grid capacity is growing faster than the grid can expand. Grid congestion occurs when, at specific times and in specific areas, the power being drawn or fed back cannot be transported over the existing electricity grid. On top of that, there is a shortage of skilled labour and equipment, which delays the construction of new connections and cables and puts important public projects on hold.
This drives up costs and holds back the decarbonisation of industry, mobility and buildings, among others. Krachtwerk supports grid operators, project developers and large consumers in resolving infrastructure bottlenecks, developing congestion management products, making smarter use of existing grids and integrating new technologies into the energy system.
